I am a Naturopathic Physician who practices primary care with a specialty in hormone management. I graduated from Bastyr University with a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and completed a two year residency with a goal of helping men and women achieve optimal health via a mix of herbal and conventional modalities. My ideal patient has a strong desire to take control of their health and is open to addressing their health concerns through diet and lifestyle modifications and appropriate herbal and pharmaceutical treatments that aim to treat the root cause of disease.

I have enjoyed over 20 years of private practice in the Everett area. Trained at Bastyr University in the 1980's and focused on the traditional aspects of the Naturopathic profession. I still prefer to use herbs and nutrients in the original tincture and herba forms and also use all of the scientific encapsulations by the most respected companies. Although I focus on Thyroid disorders increasing in the region, I do see all ages and genders in a general family practice setting. Over the years I have developed good workiing relations with this areas specialists so no aspect of your health will be ignored.

I use a functional medicine, patient centered approach that incorporates each person's unique biochemical makeup, medical history, and personal health objectives, in order to empower the patient and treat the whole person rather than just the symptoms. My goal is to support your journey towards healing and optimal health, by using the most effective, least invasive approach to correct underlying imbalances.

I do best working with people who are willing to take a proactive approach to their healthcare. So much of what I do involves being a detective, trying to discover the underlying reason for health challenges and the root cause of illness. I am a primary care provider in Washington state and a licensed midwife. I am a Functional Medicine practitioner and I focus on getting to the underlying causes of illness for both adults and children. Dr. John has been in practice for 25 years, having earned his doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in 1998. After working for two years with a Medical Doctor, he opened The Natural Health Medical Clinic in 2000 on Beacon Hill, just South of Downtown Seattle. He specializes in treating pain and injuries, as well as treating a wide range of health conditions such as diabetes, chronic fatigue, poor immune function and hypthyroidism. Areas of special study include hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) which stimulates stem cell production, ozone therapy, homeopathy, herbal medicine, neural therapy, prolozone, PRP.

I practice primary care medicine and have additional training in women's health, physical and sports medicine, and pain management. I see patients for preventive care, including full health check-ups, and also work with women's health issues, autoimmune diseases, pain, weight challenges, and allergies, utilizing physical medicine modalities, diet and lifestyle recommendations, counseling, and allergy testing and treatment.

I look beyond the labels often associated with long term illness to identify the physiological factors that allowed illness to manifest. I work cooperatively with my patients and colleagues to create custom treatment plans that largely focus on specialized treatment modalities including neural therapy techniques, intravenous therapies, botanical medicine and functional nutrition. I emphasize education to empower my patients to make informed decisions about their health.

I have a growing practice of all ages. I enjoy working with people to unravel the symptoms they are experiencing. I've found that often the symptoms we are experiencing aren't always directly related to the area in the body with the dysfunction. Sometimes we have to treat several different parts of the body in order to treat our symptoms in other areas. The modalities I use not only work to treat the cause of the problem, but they also help the body to heal itself, which are two of the foundational principles of naturopathic medicine.
