I strive to help my patients get back into balance and ultimately optimize their health. I studied Biology at the University of California, Riverside and worked as a pharmacy technician. However, I felt like something was missing within the conventional field and explored other ways of healing. That is when I fell in love with Naturopathic Medicine. I then obtained my Doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University. I have done advanced training in Intravenous nutrition and Platelet-Rich-Plasma (PRP) micro-needling. I specialize in gut conditions, women’s health, anti-aging and integrative medicine.

Dr. Vaughn believes that it’s essential to identify and treat the root cause(s) of symptoms to allow the innate healing mechanisms inherent within the mind, body, and spirit to regain optimal function and balance. She encourages patients to engage in their care, while she strives to educate and empower patients with the information they need to make informed healthcare decisions that align with their values and lifestyle. Dr. Vaughn is a board-certified Naturopathic Doctor with a Masters in Classical Chinese Medicine. She is also a licensed clinical laboratory scientist with an emphasis in Microbiology and stem cell therapies.

Josel Dauz, ND, is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in the state of California. Finding the root cause is a passion of Dr. Dauz, and she is devoted to giving her patients holistic, individualized, and compassionate care. Dr. Dauz believes in collaborating with her patients and carefully listening to their stories to find their wellness journey. Dr. Ballere was born and raised in Northern California near the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains. She graduated from Cal Poly State University in Luis Obispo majoring in Nutritional Science. She continued on to fulfill her lifelong goal of becoming a Naturopathic Doctor earning her Doctorate from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon in 2009. Dr. Ballere treats a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. She holds a special place in her heart and in her practice for supportive cancer care since her mother's own diagnosis and winning battle with colon cancer that began in 2005.

I received my doctorate in naturopathic medicine from The Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in 2011. Studying at BINM provided me with the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of specialty treatments, including the use of ozone, prolotherapy and IV therapies. In addition, I had the privilege of receiving formal medical training in oncology by Dr. Neil McKinney, one of the leading naturopathic doctors in naturopathic oncology. In 2012, I joined Synergy Natural Medicine Clinic in Monrovia, CA, to become a specialist in naturopathic oncology. In March, 2016, I redesigned a small clinic and we have been growing ever since!

With the combination of my four years as consultant on use of bio-identical hormones, eight years in private practice and five years in research, this has given me valuable work and clinical experience in helping me to be a better doctor. Furthermore, it has given me insight into applying both the science and the art of practicing medicine. I feel very privileged to have worked with Dietrich Klinghardt, MD, PhD during my first three years in practice in Seattle, WA in which cutting edge treatments were used for several chronic conditions.

After completing medical school at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and working for 10 years as a licensed physical therapist, I opened Synergy. My goal was to combine the best aspects of standard medicine with the benefits of natural and preventative medicine.
