Hello - My name is Dr. Matthew Cavaiola. I am a naturopathic doctor who specializes in integrative oncology (cancer), hormonal imbalances (adrenal fatigue, thyroid, menopause, low testosterone) in both men and women and I use natural treatments for autoimmune disease, diabetes, heart disease, and low back, knee pain, shoulder pain, elbow pain, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Some of the treatments I offer in my practice including: functional medicine, IV nutritional therapy, high dose IV vitamin C, bioidentical hormone replacement, prolotherapy, platelet-rich plasma therapy (PRP), nutrition and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

I'm a Licensed Naturopathic Doctor and Board Certified in Biofeedback. I practice based on Naturopathic Medicine's foundational principles and Functional Medicine's systematic approach to address your health concerns. I help to facilitate your own body's healing mechanism through understanding and addressing the root cause. I want this to be a mutually participatory process between us. Dr. Vaughn believes that it’s essential to identify and treat the root cause(s) of symptoms to allow the innate healing mechanisms inherent within the mind, body, and spirit to regain optimal function and balance. She encourages patients to engage in their care, while she strives to educate and empower patients with the information they need to make informed healthcare decisions that align with their values and lifestyle. Dr. Vaughn is a board-certified Naturopathic Doctor with a Masters in Classical Chinese Medicine. She is also a licensed clinical laboratory scientist with an emphasis in Microbiology and stem cell therapies.

After completing medical school at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and working for 10 years as a licensed physical therapist, I opened Synergy. My goal was to combine the best aspects of standard medicine with the benefits of natural and preventative medicine. Since then, I've treated many patients with all kinds of health problems - from simple colds and infections, to cancer and medical conditions that MDs have not been able to resolve. Dr. Shu earned her medical degrees at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, Arizona, and the China Medical University, Taiwan, in 1995. Dr. Shu is a licensed naturopathic doctor, and is certified in Orthopedic Prolotherapy with Platelet Rich Plasma injections via American Osteopathic Association of Prolotherapy Integrative Pain Management. Dr. Shu is also certified in Aesthetic Medicine via American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.

My primary attention is centered on the prevention and treatment of disease and chronic pain disorders through appropriate dietary and lifestyle modifications, nutritional supplementation and various treatment modalities. I practice general family medicine, but have specific interests in chronic pain disorders, sports medicine/orthorpedics, mental/emotional disorders, cancer, healthy aging & natural hormone balancing, diabetes/obesity/wt management, heart disease as well as digestive disorders & detoxification.
