Hi! I’m Dr. Bethany and I am so honored to share my passion for naturopathic medicine with you. I’m a licensed naturopathic doctor (ND) trained as a primary care physician and have completed additional training focused in reproductive health, fertility awareness method, and pelvic floor therapy. Some of my favorite areas of health to support include: Preconception/postpartum care, menstrual disorders including PCOS, PMS, PMDD, endocrine imbalances including Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. I practice with an emphasis on body literacy and cycle tracking for adolescents through adulthood.

Whether it be purification treatments and weight loss, cosmetic minor surgery, structural repair using modalities and spinal manipulation, colon hydrotherapy, homeopathic, botanical, or nutritional support, we've been providing complete family medicine here in Clatskanie for the last 33 years. We use food based nutritional support, avoiding the high potency, low nutritional value (hyped supplements). Since the time tested and proven track record of Standard Process can't be beat, this is our primary support in this area. We handle outpatient emergency conditions with wound repair and infectious conditions during normal office hours.

I have been a practicing physician for 20 years. As a Naturopathic Doctor I specialize in musculoskeletal rehabilitation (acute and chronic joint and muscle pain), and women’s health (PMS, menopause, fatigue, insomnia, thyroid, hormones). In evaluation I use a variety of assessment tools including functional exams, labs, and imaging. I have a unique functional approach when addressing musculoskeletal pain that comes from years of training in human movement.

Many of the patients I work with may be dealing with: fatigue, stress, pain, gastrointestinal issues, skin conditions, anxiety, depression, and many other conditions that perhaps haven't been adequately addressed by previous providers. I strive to understand the whole-person imbalances that may be contributing to the development of symptoms.

I am happy to support your primary care needs in addition to gynecological health concerns. My goal is to work with patients to re-establish the foundations of health using stress management, nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, and bodywork. Therapeutic touch is a large part of my practice, which can include pelvic floor therapy, different types of massage, and craniosacral therapy.

As a Naturopathic Doctor, I focus on the person in front of me, listen to their health needs, and work with them by addressing their entire person. This simply means that I look at every factor that has affected this person throughout their entire life including childhood home life, infections and treatments, surgeries, other trauma, diet, social interactions, and lifestyle. I have a clinical focus in women's health, environmental health, sports medicine, and mental health. I see patients for hormone management, chronic infection management, general medicine, chronic illness and autoimmune disease management, regenerative medicine, weight management programs, corrective exercise programs, therapeutic injection therapies, and craniosacral therapy. I also have a special interest in patients with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. I have a passion for providing accessible medical care for under-served populations and teaching foundational lifestyle practices that promote patient empowerment.

Doctor Pepel is trained in both conventional medicine - 6 years medical studies in Romania, and other 6, practicing as a MD there, as well as 3.5 years of training in naturopathic medicine at NUNM- Portland, OR, and 17 years of practicing as a naturopathic doctor in OR. Her combined experience of 34 years in conventional and holistic naturopathic medical training and practice give her unique insights and approaches beyond those available to practitioners trained in only conventional or only naturopathic medicine.
