Naturopathic medicine is a distinct medical system of health care: an art, science, and practice of diagnosing and treating people and preventing disease. Naturopathic physicians seek to restore and maintain optimal health. They can practice independently or with provider groups and may also become educators, authors, researchers and consultants. Naturopathic medicine honors patients as unique human beings, enabling them to take responsibility for their own health. Naturopathic physicians are health coaches, providing evaluations and recommendations for patients who are committed to becoming healthier. We treat all nature of disease states and chronic illness.
Our scope of practice may include, but is not limited to, nutritional medicine; botanical medicine; naturopathic manipulation; acupuncture; homeopathy; mind-body medicine; minor surgery; prescription rights for most legend drugs. The State of Arizona offers the wide st scope of practice for naturopathic physicians in the U.S.
Dr. Dave has maintained a private practice, The Source Naturopathic Medical Clinic, focusing on treatment of alcoholism, drug dependency, and chronic disease, since 2000. He is currently a part time Clinical Instructor of Naturopathic Medicine, and teaches a class on Addiction at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM).
