I was born and raised in Auburn, California and am a 1996 graduate of Bastyr University, the leading naturopathic medical school in North America. Growing up with my dad as a local doctor inspired me to pursue medicine myself. Personal illness with questions left unanswered by western medicine led me in the direction of naturopathic medicine. I am passionate about helping people find their optimal health. I fill up my free time with my husband and 2 beautiful daughters. Together we enjoy rock-climbing, horse back riding, surfing, gardening and just being together.

Dr. Brinkley enjoys general family practice and has a special passion for working with women and children. Through additional training in midwifery she has gained experience in this regard, including a unique appreciation of the value and application of natural health strategies during and after pregnancy. This includes breastfeeding concerns, emotional changes, and physical issues following pregnancy. Dr. Brinkley provides well-woman care and helps women struggling with menstrual irregularities from adolescence to menopause.

As a California-licensed primary care naturopathic doctor, my primary goal is to partner with you to prevent illness, but if a "dis-ease" is present, to utilize the most natural, non-toxic, and least invasive therapies first. Another critical priority is finding the underlying cause(s) of illness, not merely treating symptoms, therefore, I use hundreds of diagnostic and functional medical labs to help diagnose.
